All good things come to an end – as did the Thessaloniki International Film Festival today. The official closing ceremony and award show took place on Saturday, 10th November 2012.

Thessaloniki: Film Festival 2012 – Festival Shop and Bookshop

The second and last weekend of the 53rd Thessaloniki International Film Festival has started and blessed us with beautiful weather. The closing and award ceremony is held at the Olympion venue at 9 p.m. tonight, followed by the screening of the film “Da-reun na-ra-e-suh”. Thessaloniki: Film Festival 2012 / Tribute to Theo Angelopoulos

He was born on the 27th April 1935 and lived for approximately 77 years. During this time he saw the world differently from everybody else. The internationally well-recognised director Theo Angelopoulos drew his last breath on the 24th January 2012.
